This was my first project. I was working on it alongside a fellow apprentice at PrimitiveSense but I took the lead role. I enjoyed working as part of a team to complete this project; it was quite enjoyable that way. The project was completed very early in my 12 month apprenticeship and it was very challenging at first as I wasn’t that experienced, but we managed to get through it.

The website is to promote Make Believe Nursery; the target audience were parents so we wanted to make the website friendly and appealing to them. We wanted to show the Nursery as a fun and exciting yet reassuring and safe place. I think we achieved that with the website design, its fonts and colour scheme and of course we helped with the wording.

We emailed the client back and forth to get a clear client specification that we could work towards and, after that was done and dusted, we then proceeded to work on the designs for the website, getting inspiration from other nursery websites but also trying to make the website stand out from the competition by making it unique. We then showed the client the designs, and once they were signed off, we worked on developing the website, which was the most fun part for me!. We worked locally and afterwards we worked on a UAT, then once the client was pleased with the UAT version, we pushed the website live.
